What do you think of when you hear the question “are you living your best life?” Many people would immediately imagine things, events, and situations occurring in their outer world: their job, relationships, material possessions. But often external circumstances won’t improve or enhance happiness if one’s inner environment stays the same. When someone wants to feel better, or get happier, often taking a look inside is the missing piece to the puzzle.
Ellie Burke, a Martha Beck certified life coach, guides her clients to bring awareness to those stories, habits, behaviors, and patterns of thinking that may not be serving them. In other words, she helps her clients ask the important questions: not “who am I?” but “who can I be?” Or why is it that I want what I want, knowing that the thing that we want is tied to the way we want to feel.
