Last night we had some family over for dinner, and I had a little bit too much fun. And when I say fun, I mean wine. That is why I was majorly craving a healthy smoothie first thing. When this happens, I turn to anti-inflammatory, nutrient-dense ingredients to replenish vitamins and minerals that help bring me back to balance. Wild blueberries, strawberries, acai powder, protein, and kale come together in this recipe for a nutritious morning meal. The smoothie itself has 27 grams of protein, and with my favorite toppings (see below), it takes it to 33 grams of protein.
I love to top my smoothies with my homemade granola and Catalina Crunch Honey Graham cereal. So good!
I am sharing two ways to make an acai smoothie, because as I was scouring my Instagram grid, I realized I had made it slightly differently a few months prior and never put it on my site. Either one is delicious!
