While we have always loved smoothies, especially when the weather warms at the cusp of spring, we love them even more so because they make the perfect pairing for our Empower Bars! Whether you blend one right in, crumble on top (as pictured above!) or eat one alongside, they balance each other and your blood sugar to boot! Find five of our favorite concoctions below!

White Chocolate Raspberry Smoothie

Servings 2 servings

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups nut milk of choice (I used almond)
  • 2 tablespoons coconut cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup raw cacao butter
  • 1 heaping tablespoon melted coconut butter
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 2 Medjool dates, pits removed
  • 1 scoop protein powder of choice (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Put ingredients into a blender, blend together, and enjoy!

Berry Spinach Smoothie

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
  • small handful spinach
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • ¼ avocado
  • ½ cup blanched then frozen zucchini (optional)

  • 1 hass avocado
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 10 leaf fresh mint leaves
  • ½ cup unsweetened green tea
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter, creamy
  • ½ pepper, serrano, raw
  • tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ginger root
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

Chocolate Smoothie

  • ½ cup ice cubes
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder or 1 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed or chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon stevia (optional)
  • top with cacao nibs and shredded coconut

  • 2 handfuls leafy greens
  • ½ cup frozen carrots (baby carrots or chopped regular)
  • 2-3 frozen nut milk cubes (or 1/2 frozen banana for extra sweetness)
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • dash of nutmeg
  • dash of vanilla
  • ½ inch cube of ginger
